The extant regulatory framework permits both non-resident and resident investors to invest in IFSC exchanges.

Overseas investors benefit from simplified onboarding procedures, connectivity through existing overseas platforms (e.g. GIFT NIFTY Connect) and tax exemptions while investing in GIFT IFSC exchanges.

With Indian companies expected to list their shares on GIFT IFSC exchanges, liquidity in the markets is expected to increase. The IFSC capital markets ecosystem is well placed to provide the incremental financing needed to achieve India’s aspirations.
