My entire family including my spouse, child and I got infected with Covid-19 around the same time, only a few days apart from each other. We all experienced extreme exhaustion, high fever, unbearable body ache and even loss of smell and taste. As the primary caregiver at home, I was doubly stressed as I was unable to take care of my child properly. It took me a lot of strength to fight the infection, but I was determined to get better for the sake of my family. Another critical issue was that it was a reinfection for my spouse and his symptoms were more pronounced than the first infection. It was a tense scenario, but we tried to keep our cool and handled it one day at a time. Through the entire 14 days, we followed a regulated regime of steam inhalation, medicines, Spo2 monitoring, and being in touch with other known people affected by the virus for guidance and mental support.
Keeping a positive frame of mind is the key to sail through this situation. My advice to you would be that please do not wait till the last moment for the infection to aggravate. Act early and you may be able to avoid a severe case of Covid-19. Keep yourself thoroughly hydrated and eat wholesome meals even if you lose your sense of taste and smell. Keep yourself busy with the activities you love and keep away from doomsday news.
