PwC and FICCI present LevelNXT

PwC India and FICCI, conceptualised LevelNXT, a comprehensive scale up programme to identify, nurture and help ten best innovative startups across India to scale up. This was done by inviting applications, screening them through independent juries and selecting ten winners who are now part of the LevelNXT 2019 cohort. The initiative was supported by CNBC.

Priyank Kharge, Hon'ble Minister for Social Welfare, Government of Karnataka was the key note speaker on the show. Narayana Murthy, Founder, Infosys joined the discussion panel with Shereen Bhan, Managing Editor - CNBC TV where they discussed challenges, risks and rewards of the entrepreneurial journey.

Shyamal Mukherjee, Chairman, PwC India also addressed the gathering as he shared the stage with the Hon'ble Minister. Trophies were also distributed to the ten winning startups.

The grand finale of LevelNXT was aired on CNBC TV 18 on 6 April 2019 at 6pm and a repeat telecast was aired on 7 April at the same time. To view the grand finale episode, click here.

PwC India hosted NED and C-suite Executives meet

We hosted the 37th edition of the Non-Executive Directors (NED) and C-suite Executives meet on 13 March 2019 at Regal Room, Trident Nariman Point, Mumbai. More than 150 high profile guests comprising prominent NEDs, CEOs, CFOs and Chief Audit executives of leading Indian and multinational companies from various sectors attended the event.

The discussion revolved around the topic ‘Preparing, responding and emerging stronger from a crisis’. The key members on the panel were Zia Mody, Founding Partner, AZB & Partners; M S Unnikrishnan, MD and CEO, Thermax Ltd.; Rajeev Gupta, Founding Partner, Arpwood Captial and Nawshir Mirza, Leading Independent Director. Gagan Puri, Partner & Leader- Forensic Services, PwC represented the organisation on the panel.

The session enabled the NEDs, CFOs and other senior C-suite executives to gain an understanding of:

  • Steps an organisation needs to take to enhance its readiness for unplanned incidents by putting protocols and processes in place
  • Knowledge sharing of actual crises in organisations to help participants understand how to respond positively to such incidents
  • How an organisation can learn from a crisis and be better prepared to handle the next challenge it may face

Our Chairman Shyamal Mukherjee thanked the participants for their unstinting support to our programme since inception.
