“The joy of learning is as indispensable in study as breathing is in running."
This quote by Simone Weil very aptly alludes to the importance of learning in our lives. To keep learning is to keep growing. Time and again, we are all reminded of one life experience that has shaped us into a better version of ourselves. It is one that has helped us find the right direction and has taught us important life skills.
It is always a great feeling to see our alumi succeeding in their professional lives. We are proud of our alumi Prabin Dokania and Satyajit Gupta who have recently been recognised for outstanding contribution in their respective areas of work.
The Alumni team on behalf of the entire firm wishes them the best on their success.
Congratulations to the winners
We are happy to share the results of the PwC Values story contest. Amidst an overwhelming response from all of you, the following stories made it to the top.
Read along as our alums share instances where they experienced PwC Values in and outside the firm.
‘The God in the Boardroom’ is a self-help book penned by our alum Guru Prasad. He is the founding member at Guru and Jana Chartered Accountants in Bengaluru.
In his book, Guru emphasises on how and why organisations need to have their value systems in place. He talks about how people become global leaders by following simple value systems. The book is an anecdotal read and picks up real life stories of leaders like HDFC Chairman Deepak Parekh, ICICI Chairman Vaghul, Vinita Bali of Coke and Mohandas Pai of Infosys to, name a few.
